Me, Myself, and I

Hello! My name is Edward and my true love is art. Every day my wish is to make something, whether it’s a simple drawing or an elaborate painting of some feeling, an emotion, or perhaps a dream. It is this desire which kindles within me that keeps me from giving up. I keep a secret diary where I occasionally record some things. In it I keep some of the usual things which you may find in a diary, such as my goals and a few things which I would like to achieve one day. I make an effort to write about how I felt on some days, and then I also keep things which I must remember for the rest of my life. I find it comforting to read through my diary once in a while to reflect upon times past and to give me hope for times to come.
I remember one day in junior school, one of my classmates, a girl named Lauren, she had painted a series of shapes on paper. At the time I couldn’t tell why I liked her piece so much. There were shapes of black and purple and I wondered why they were so appealing. From there, our family moved house quite a bit. I positively loathed high school, never even took art as a subject, and spent most of my time learning how to make things. I discovered the computer, fell off my bicycle a few times, but I still enjoy jogging.
The best part of my job is that every day I get to meet with dragons, fairies, and cybergirls amongst other things. I’ve traveled to places both excitingly dangerous and exquisitely exotic on some of the most futuristic and sleekest vessels known to living man. I’ve wielded great swords and cast powerful magic as a wizard would, wandered through magical forests and traversed unforgiving snowy mountains, explored caverns of great evil and wonder, and I’ve fought all manner of terrible beasts to uncover sacred knowledge. I’m fortunate enough to have been blessed with a caring and wonderful family who are understanding of my insatiable vocation.
